Greetings HVH Family and Friends,
Let me begin by thanking everyone for taking the Governor’s ‘Stay in Place’ directive seriously. I truly believe it has made a difference and we are looking forward to seeing you and your pet (in person) soon. The sadness of this pandemic is truly overwhelming yet the sacrifices we’re making, the dedication of the first responders and the actions of every day people are inspiring.
An update on pet health/safety: As of today, two cases of Covid-19 have been reported in cats in the US. With testing available, this number may increase however there is no evidence that pets play a role in spreading the virus at this time. You can continue to find up to date information on Covid-19 as it pertains to people and pets at: cdc.gov and avma.org
An update on HVH: While veterinary services are considered essential, risking the health of multiple subcontractors is not a risk our contractor nor our team is willing to take. With that being said, we are hoping renovations restart next month. In the meantime, we continue to offer telemedicine services via phone, email, facetime and zoom. Response has exceeded our expectations and we hope to continue to address your pets concerns with your and our safety as a priority. Looking towards the future and gradually easing into a new normal, we hope to be providing house calls as ‘Stay in Place’ restrictions are eased.
Please continue smart practices- social distancing, wearing a mask when interacting with others and washing your hands frequently. Stay safe, stay healthy and love your pets!
